Crazy 4 Cult!

The fine folks at G4 were nice enough to cover the 'Crazy4Cult' show and interview me about the 'Welcome to Hill Valley' print. It's kinda cool to have this captured on video cuz quite frankly, I barely remembered being interviewed. My cousin and I got smashed before the opening and stumbled upon an open bar next door at Golden Apple Comics before this interview took place. Enjoy the clip, there's a lot of cool art and interviews in it, even Mr. Mallrats himself, Kevin Smith. Oh yeah, there's also a drunk Filipino guy in it, wearing an SD hat who struggles to put two words together. (That would be me!)

Great watch...thanks for posting the link, I would have missed it otherwise.

Eric, a few of us have noticed that our Happy Valley prints are double-sided (for lack of a better description). There's a faint image of the print on the back. It's not reversed, so it didn't pick it up from another copy. Someone said that it looks like white ink was used (the Hill Valley is a very, very faint red). Is this customary with the type of printing that was used? Just curious...

Thanks Nick & Susan! About the 'ghosted' image on back, I noticed that when I was signing them and it really is odd. I'm not quite sure if ink got on the belt accidentally but it is consistent with all 150 of them. I'm happy with how the front turned out. The colors are exactly as they were approved on the proof. The eerie image on the back is quite the mystery. It's the 1st time that's happened and I'm just glad it was faint enough that it didn't affect the front. Spoooooky!

O-h-h-h...I love a good mystery. :)

BTW, you did great in the vid...you didn't slur once. Sounds like you had a great time.

Thanks for the link Eric! Very cool stuff!

I'm stoked! I managed to get my hands on a Hill Valley poster and had it shipped to Australia. Just picked it up from the post office.

I absolutely love it!

Any suggestions on how I should have it framed?

Cheers
Simon

Thanks Guys!!! RazorTT, I framed the gallery version in a thick, dark wood frame. It really sold the nostalgic angle. I think anything sort of "Craftsman-like" would work fine.

Thanks Eric.

I couldn't find any dark frames that I was happy with, so am waiting for some moulding that is a red that should hopefully work with the car, hair and hill valley text.

It's going to be a month or so though :( I'll post a pic once I get it done.

Thanks again.
